Terms of Use
In short
- Family Space is an app for organizing your family's routine. To create an account on your own, you must be 18 or older.
- You keep your rights to the content you add. We use it only to provide the service.
- Use the app with respect for your family and for the law.
- You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you want.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your use of Family Space, a service provided by Lex Tec (CNPJ 44.403.777/0001-72, registered at Quadra 10 Conjunto L, Planaltina-DF, Brazil).
They apply to any use of the service. By creating an account, using guest mode, accepting an invitation to a family or otherwise using Family Space, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, don't use the service.
2. The service
Family Space brings your family's organization into one place: family spaces, member profiles, a shared calendar, birthdays, tasks, chores, reminders and notifications. It is available on iOS, Android and the web.
- The service is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed.
- It is free to use today. If we introduce paid plans, we will announce them in advance, and you will never be charged without your explicit agreement.
3. Who can use it
- To create an account on your own, you must be 18 or older and legally able to accept these terms.
- Children and teenagers may only use an account with the authorization and under the supervision of their parent or legal guardian. Such an account must be created from an invitation sent or authorized by the guardian.
- The adult who authorizes a minor's access confirms that they are the minor's legal guardian or have the guardian's authorization. This adult agrees to:
- follow how the minor uses the service and guide them to use the app safely;
- use the family's roles and permissions to limit what the minor can see and do, where appropriate;
- ask for the minor's account to be deleted if they no longer authorize the access.
- Children and other dependents can also take part as managed profiles, without their own login, under the responsibility of the adult who added them.
- Children's and teenagers' data is processed with respect for their full protection and best interest, in line with Brazil's Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA), the Digital ECA (Law No. 15,211/2025) and the LGPD. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
- If we find a minor's account created without the guardian's authorization, we may suspend or delete it.
4. Your account
- Keep your details accurate and up to date.
- Keep your password safe and don't share access.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you notice unauthorized use, let us know.
- In guest mode, the account is tied to the device and may be lost if the app is removed or you change phones.
5. Families, roles and permissions
- Every family has at least one owner. Owners and admins decide who joins the family and what each member can see and do.
- When you add another person's details (a managed profile, an invitation or a birthday), you confirm that you have a legitimate basis to do so, because you are responsible for them or have their permission. You also agree to:
- add only the data needed to use the service's features;
- respect the privacy and rights of the person you add;
- for minors, follow the authorization and protection rules in section 3 and the law.
- Family content, such as tasks, chores, and family events and birthdays, is shared. It belongs to the family space, is visible to members according to their permissions, and does not depend only on whoever created it.
- Personal content, such as events and birthdays marked as personal and reminders, is yours alone.
- You can leave a family at any time. Admins can remove members.
- When an owner deletes the family, all of its shared content is deleted for every member.
6. Your content
You keep all the rights you have to the content you add to Family Space, such as events, tasks, reminders and other data. We don't acquire ownership of that content.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit and display that content to you and your family members. This license applies only to the extent needed to provide the service and for no other purpose.
The license ends when the content is deleted. Content shared with the family may remain available to the other members, as described in section 11.
You are responsible for the content you post. We don't review family content in advance, but we may remove anything that breaks these terms or the law, for example after a report or an order from an authority.
7. Acceptable use
When using Family Space, you must not:
- break the law or violate other people's rights, including privacy and image rights;
- harass, threaten or expose family members or anyone else;
- post illegal content;
- post content or engage in conduct that violates the rights of children and teenagers, such as exploitation or abuse, grooming, unlawful sexualization or violence;
- send bulk or unsolicited invitations;
- try to access data from families you don't belong to;
- bypass security measures, overload the service, reverse engineer it or collect data automatically;
- impersonate someone else;
- resell or commercially exploit the service without permission.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules and, where the law requires, report the case to the competent authorities.
8. Intellectual property
The app, the Family Space brand, the design and the code belong to Lex Tec. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app while these terms are in effect.
9. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties, such as the app stores, sign-in with Google or Apple, and push notification delivery. Those services' terms also apply to your use of them.
10. Availability and changes
- We work to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee it will run without interruptions or errors. There may be maintenance and outages.
- Reminders and notifications may be delayed or not arrive, for example because of device settings or network failures. Don't rely on Family Space as your only way to track critical commitments, such as medication or legal deadlines.
- Family Space is an organization tool. It is not an emergency service, a medical service or a safety monitoring service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
- If we shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice whenever possible.
11. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in the app.
- We may suspend or close accounts, fully or partially, in case of:
- a breach of these terms;
- fraud;
- abusive use of the service;
- a risk to the security of the service or of other users;
- a legal requirement or an order from a competent authority;
- conduct that may harm others.
- When reasonably possible and permitted by law, we will tell you about the measure and the reasons for it. When immediate action is needed, this notice may come after the measure.
When you delete your account:
- your identifying personal data is deleted or disassociated from shared content;
- your personal content is deleted;
- shared content you created in a family may remain available to the other members, without identifying you;
- if you are a family's only owner, the family and all of its content are also deleted.
Details are in the Privacy Policy.
12. Liability
- We are liable for damage we cause in providing the service, as provided by law.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for content posted by users or for decisions made based on information they entered.
- To the same extent, we are not liable for damage caused solely by third parties or by use of the service that breaks these terms.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights you have under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code or other law.
13. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
14. Communications
We may send you messages needed for Family Space to work, by email, by notification or in the app, such as:
- notices about your account's security;
- invitations, email confirmation and account recovery;
- relevant changes to the service and updates to these terms;
- other operational information about the service.
Promotional messages, if we ever send any, will follow your preferences and applicable law.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of the page show the latest one. If the changes are relevant, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect and, when needed, ask you to accept the new version.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you because of where you are located. Disputes will be heard in the courts of the consumer's place of residence.
